Did you know that in the US 1 out of 5 adults and 1 out of 6 children have a diagnosable mental illness. Suicide is the second leading cause of death among the ages of 10-14.

People dealing with mental illness encounter numerous obstacles that can affect many areas of their lives.

Mental health encompasses our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It influences how we think, feel, and behave, and plays a crucial role in how we manage stress, interact with others, and make decisions.

Mental health is vital at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. Throughout your life, if you encounter mental health issues, your thoughts, mood, and behavior may be impacted.

Living with a mental health condition can make it challenging to work, keep up with school, maintain a regular schedule, build healthy relationships, socialize, and take care of personal hygiene, among other things.

However, with early and consistent treatment—often involving a combination of medication and psychotherapy—it is possible to manage these conditions, overcome obstacles, and lead a meaningful, productive life.
